What’s on

Good old-fashioned pen and paper, not the faddish phone quiz. General knowledge and a picture round (no music round), then the Play Your Cards Right board with oversized cards. A rolling cash jackpot is on the line every Wednesday at 8:00pm, plus two bonus raffles after PYCR. £1 per team member; tables fill from 7:30pm — walk-ins welcome.

Real records spun properly through analogue sound — Northern soul, Motown, funk, soul and nu-disco from the decks. No sports screens, no algorithmic playlists, just good tunes and pints with friends.
The story, once you’ve got a pint
The Scatcherds built this pub in 1800, honouring Nelson’s victory on the Nile two years earlier. Watson Scatcherd held Morley’s first Magistrate’s Court on these premises until 1817 — sitting on an old Jacobean chair that now rests in the Mayor’s Parlour at Morley Town Hall. The court moved on. The pub didn’t.
